Dr. David Painter grew up in Hoagland, Indiana, and has practiced dentistry in Fort Wayne since 1995. He is a kind and gentle practitioner; attentive to each patient’s comfort and desires, he provides each the high-quality care he’d offer his loved ones.
Through his independently-owned practice, Dr. Painter has the freedom to design treatment based on what a patient desires. He and his team take time to talk with each patient, learning their concerns and goals, and discussing various treatment approaches to achieve their healthiest smile.
Rejecting the idea of a cookie-cutter approach to dentistry ensures each patient’s treatment is efficient, comfortable, and effective.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Dr. Painter attended the University of Illinois, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree. He then attended Indiana University, where he was awarded his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS).
Continuing education is core to Dr. Painter’s commitment to his profession and his patients. He and his team strive to stay ahead of the curve in dentistry: ongoing research and developments constantly advance the way cases are diagnosed, treatment is planned, and services are provided. For Dr. Painter, continuing education – study clubs, meetings, lectures, seminars – are all opportunities to improve the quality of care he and his staff provide.
Dr. Painter has concentrated on developing new skills to better meet the needs of his patients. He is currently one of the few general dentists in the region with an Indiana Sedation Permit, allowing him to provide IV sedation services. Additionally, he has completed numerous advanced courses and trainings in implant dentistry, including placement and restorations.

BEYOND DENTISTRY
Dr. Painter and his family have resided in Auburn, Indiana, for over 25 years. He and Julie, his wife of 36 years, have two sons: Dan is recent graduate of Purdue University and Jo is a sophomore at the University of Saint Francis. The family enjoys supporting the kids’ many activities and treasures their time together.
Dr. Painter is also an active, 25-year member of Auburn Kiwanis, participating in numerous projects that help children.
